I was recently asked how it is that I can walk and do my knitting at the same time. So here is a photo demonstration showing how I do it. I have a small round tote bag that my mom made using denim material from a pair of old blue jeans. I put my yarn in the bag and then hold the bag with my arm which allows me to freely carry my yarn and work with my needles while I walk around. I just started doing this a couple of months ago and I have found that I really love being able to get out and take a walk around the downtown streets, or go for a walk in a park, or walk along the banks at the lake where I love to go so much and can still get some knitting done while I'm out.
No I do not carry my yarn and knit when I go shopping, but I do keep it with me in my car just incase I happen to be out somewhere and want to go for a walk and get some knitting done. The bag is awesome for small projects like the scarf you see me knitting in this picture. I think that little bag is probably the most useful thing my mother ever made for me. I have used that bag nearly every day since she made it for me. Thanks Mama!!!
These skull caps hand knit by me are now available at my website. Go to www.sleepyroot.com to buy one now.
Here is a sneak peek of my latest scarf project. This picture was taken with my cellphone so it is not a high quality image. I'll have better pictures on my sales site (www.sleepyroot.com) very soon. I have also made some progress on my camo backpack. The body of the bag and the flap is finished and I am almost finished with the drawstring. I will post a picture of that later because I don't have that project with me right now.
This is my latest project currently in the making. I am using two different camouflage yarns to create a crocheted sack which eventually will turn into a backpack once I have made the flap and two straps. I am creating this based off of a similar pattern I did several years ago but I am rewriting the pattern as I go along to include details that I did not add before. This project is proving to be very strenuous and time consuming because it is worked holding two strands of yarn together and is being tightly stitched for durability. However I am loving the feel of the fabric I am creating and I like I look of the colors and how they are mixing together. I am making this so that I will have a cool looking bag to carry small knitting or crochet projects in but now I'm thinking I may make some more to sell. We'll see how that goes. I'll post another picture of this fun project soon.
What are the things in life that you're truly passionate about?

I almost missed this question today. Here goes.... If anyone has been paying attention to my blog then it is already known that I am very passionate about my hobbies..... You know.... knitting, crocheting... that sort of thing. Yeah I love knitting *smile*. I am also passionate about nature and getting outdoors. One of my favorite places to go is to the lake where I can just sit and watch the birds fly around or the waves out on the water or see a beautiful sunset at the end of the day after I've been sitting there knitting or crocheting or making hemp jewelry or doing absolutely nothing at all but enjoying the scenery. I am passionate about movies. I love to watch movies. I am passionate... or should I say very passionate about music. I love many different styles of music including country, rock, alternative, dance, trance, techno, 80's and 90's pop, current pop. I am passionate about living and enjoying the simple things in life that God brings to us everyday and I am passionate about my family and closest friends. Oh yeah I am passionate about my computer and my laptop and my ultra cool cellphone.... yeah I know I'm a geek!
Here is a video I recently found on YouTube. I think it's cool that knitting has become an activity that is no longer considered by most people as being a "women's only" thing to do.
Well here is my first entry here on my new blog. Yes I am a Vox newbie. I've only recently discovered Vox yesterday so I'm still learning my way around here. I wasn't going to sign up here but then I found out that I can post entries with my cellphone and I think that is really really cool. I had tried to set up a mobile blog on blogger but I was too stupid to figure out how to do it lol. This Vox site seems like it is going to be a lot of fun but I'm not sure I like all the ad's that are posted all over the pages. Oh well I guess I can't complain since I got it for free right and Vox does have more layouts than blogger does so that is cool.... I just wish I could figure out which layout I like the best. I have the San Francisco layout right now because I love San Francisco even though I don't live there. I'll probably be changing my layout to something else but then again I may keep it...... but who really cares about that huh!? Anyway I'm outta here to go do some shopping and some knitting and try to make it through this cold winter day.
